I got all fired up writing my last post, the internet has felt especially adversarial and irritating lately, and I’m going on vacation on Thursday and would love to inject positivity into my week and yours. So, tell me:
What is one GOOD body-related thing for you right now?
Think:
Feeling loving, accepting, or blissfully neutral about your body
Trying new movement
Gym wins
Using your body to simply relax, getting more sleep, etc.
I'm on vacation in Portugal, and this entire COUNTRY is nothing but hills that I walk up and down and up and down. Yay for functional exercise and days with 15K+ steps.
I recently took a week to absorb the fall colors and breathe the fresh, crisp air in the mountains. Being in a place with so much outdoor activity and beauty fed my soul. My activity goal for the summer was to go on a day hike in the mountains in the Fall. It is Fall. I went to the mountains. And I did the hike!
I have really enjoyed the way my body has changed during pregnancy. I’ve actually felt confident and beautiful. I am proud of what my body is doing. I do a stretch routine every morning and it feels so amazing. I have also been consistently working out through my pregnancy. 34 weeks and I feel fantastic (minus swelling feet/hands)!!
New makeup and a mani/pedi can pull me out of a body slump. It helps me to feel pretty and worthy, and it's a really nice distraction until I can mentally and emotionally get up on my feet again.
So true. I rarely get my nails professionally done bc I actually really like doing them myself...feels like a fun little tactile exercise in very mild concentration with a pretty result

Yes, Reb! So envious and happy for you. Nothing like a vacation where you're a little blissfully tired out from roaming a new place :)

This sounds sooooo nice. Outdoor activity is a balm like nothing else. I tend to forget that, and then when I remember...

SO happy for you! I know some people struggle with difficult pregnancies and body changes so I'm glad you're having a nicer experience.
Trying to go for a walk every day
Walks are so underrated in so many ways. They are magic to me
